Home Staging, common in the USA, Canada and the UK, is the art of giving your home a “makeover” before you sell or rent it. The analogy is a bunch of flowers: if you had to decide between the same bunch of flowers wrapped in plastic with a scruffy piece of string, or carefully presented in fine tissue paper tied with a matching bow, which would you choose?


When a potential client compares similar properties, whether to buy or rent, they will always choose the one that is best presented.


Home Staging is based on the following proven factors:

The objective is always to sell or rent quicker and at a higher price, and statistics show that, after Home Staging, a home will move in half the time and at a 12% higher price.


    When a person decides to sell or rent a property, from that moment, they should step back and be clear headed about their objective. The spaces should be neutral: painted in subtle, but warm colours. No personal items on display that could subconsciously clash with the tastes of the client (family photos on display, or religious or political objects on the walls, for example). The client needs to be able to imagine themselves living in these spaces. And above all, the furniture should be neutral, but attractive, and not too much of it!.
